Wyoming State Hospital

Project Profile

Wyoming State Hospital

Location: Evanston, Wyoming

The renovation and addition project at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming involved critical issues identified and resolved through the Commissioning (Cx) process. EEI played a vital role in uncovering and addressing various challenges within the facility’s systems. Notable issues included radiant floor heating controls, inadequate ventilation in isolation rooms, and contamination of radiant flooring heating fluid. EEI’s thorough investigation led to solutions such as reprogramming controls, redesigning ductwork, and cleaning contaminated systems to ensure optimal performance.

The project included the commissioning of various systems crucial for the hospital’s functionality. Mechanical systems commissioned included chilled water systems, heating hot water systems, ventilation, exhaust systems, building automation, and more. The commissioning process involved developing test procedures, verifying system performance, reporting deficiencies, accepting building systems, documenting reviews, reviewing submittals, ensuring operational personnel training, and reviewing post-acceptance operations. This meticulous approach aimed to enhance system efficiency, address deficiencies promptly, and ensure the overall quality and functionality of the hospital’s essential systems.
