Building Energy Audits
You cannot improve what you do not measure. EEI’s energy benchmarking services help building owners track performance, compare against peers, meet compliance requirements, and identify high-impact opportunities for operational improvement across single properties or entire portfolios.

Services
- ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Setup & Management
- PE Certification for ENERGY STAR
- Local Ordinance Compliance (LL84/97m BERDO, etc.)
- Portfolio Analytics & GRESB Reporting
As an ENERGY STAR Partner, EEI submitted 17 ENERGY STAR certification applications and 59 recertifications in our most recent reporting cycle. Our team establishes and manages Portfolio Manager accounts, prepares PE verifications for certification, and administers local ordinance compliance with documented deliverables and verification strategies.
We support compliance with benchmarking and building performance standards across all major jurisdictions including New York City (Local Law 84/97), Washington DC (BEPS), Boston (BERDO), Denver, Seattle, and dozens of additional cities with disclosure requirements. EEI maintains jurisdiction trackers and compliance guides detailing thresholds, verification requirements, and penalty structures.
Representative Projects
For Market Square in Washington, DC, EEI’s scope covers annual benchmarking, BEPS Performance Pathway management, and third-party verification planning—including ENERGY STAR certification as a verification option. At Center of Commerce in Florida, EEI completed comprehensive ESPM benchmarking and certification eligibility assessment across 16 buildings with portfolio-level access management.
