Battelle 3430 Ultra Trace Laboratory
EEI performed retro-commissioning (RCx) services for the Ultra Trace Laboratory, establishing a baseline for airflows and pressures to enhance cleanliness and pressure relationships in clean rooms and lab spaces. The project included reviewing existing documentation, conducting a facility walk-through and assessment, data collection, meetings with operations staff, plan development, using BalanceCx software, final verification, and reporting.
Biological Sciences Facility (BSF) & Computer Sciences Facility (CSF) RCx
EEI conducted an energy/water audit and RCx of the BSF/CSF central plant and air handling equipment using BalanceCx software. The audit scope included a Preliminary Energy Use Analysis (PEA), facility walk-throughs, meetings with operations staff, space function analysis, and identifying low-cost/no-cost changes with estimated savings.
Biological Sciences Facility (BSF) & Computer Sciences Facility (CSF) ReCx
Simultaneously with the energy/water audits, EEI provided individual reports for ReCx activities. The scope included developing a ReCx plan, conducting facility walk-throughs with maintenance staff to review systems and equipment, collecting and analyzing energy and performance data, functional performance testing of major HVAC and control systems, and identifying energy efficiency measures along with operations and maintenance strategies.
