The State of New Mexico Department of Public Safety Forensics Laboratory is a 44,000 SF facility located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The new forensics laboratory facility will serve as a critical resource for the State of New Mexico, providing advanced forensic analysis and support to law enforcement agencies across the state. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the state’s forensic capabilities, enabling faster turnaround times and more accurate results for criminal investigations.
EEI served as the designated Commissioning Authority, providing unbiased, objective reports on the installation, documentation, operation, and performance of the building’s equipment and systems. We also assisted with problem-solving and resolving any non-conformance issues or deficiencies, prepared detailed reports for all commissioned equipment and systems, and provided progress reports and commissioning meeting notes to the project and facility management team. EEI conducted a thorough review of the design documents at the end of the design phase, providing written comments and feedback to the design team. We also performed a focused review of the drawings and specifications, with particular attention to the building envelope and shell detailing.
