EEI Building Performance Welcomes Loren Morris as Principal, Market Development

PHOENIX – May 20, 2026 – EEI Building Performance, a national leader in facility systems consulting, announced today that Loren W. Morris, PE, CxA, EMP, has joined the firm as a Principal, Market Development. Based in EEI’s Phoenix office. Morris will focus on expanding EEI’s presence with owners, developers, and design and construction partners while helping position opportunities early across key geographies and vertical markets.

“Loren brings more than three decades of experience in commissioning, retro-commissioning, and building automation, along with a strong track record of building trusted client relationships,” said Blake Hickok, CEO/President of EEI. “His technical depth and market perspective will help us deepen partnerships and accelerate national strategic growth for EEI.”

Prior to joining EEI, Morris served as President of TMCx Solutions since 2005, where he led commissioning and building performance services across more than 500 projects, including energy studies, retro-commissioning, new construction MEP commissioning, life safety special inspections, and envelope air barrier testing.

His representative project experience includes Phoenix Children’s Hospital, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory data center work, Arizona State University facilities, and major healthcare and mission-critical expansions across the region including Blue Cross Blue Shield. Morris has also served in leadership roles with industry organizations, including the AABC Commissioning Group and the Building Commissioning Association.

Morris earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University. He is a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) and holds multiple credentials including Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), Certified Energy Management Professional (EMP) and is a professional licensed engineer in AZ, TX, NM and CA.
