Project Profile

UWHS Lab Medicine Suite C516 Remodel

Location: Seattle, Washington

The UWHS Lab Medicine Suite C516 Remodel project encompasses the renovation of clinical, office, and shelled spaces within the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) NW A-wing. This project involves selective demolition and the installation of new finishes, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, power, data, casework, and structural system updates to accommodate new equipment. Divided into five phases and exclusively open to bidders on the Critical Patient Care Roster A, this project aims to enhance functionality and aesthetics. Additionally, within the UW Magnuson Health Sciences Center C-Wing building, tenant improvements are planned for office space suite C515. This remodel will introduce a reception area, conference room, scope room, touchdown spaces, and private offices. The scope of work includes new partitions, finishes, lighting, power, data installations, and mechanical revisions.

EEI’s involvement in commissioning ensures that the project aligns with the Owner’s Project Requirements. Specifically focusing on HVAC systems, EEI will verify compliance with the 2018 Seattle Energy Code concerning energy efficiency, water usage, indoor environmental quality, and structural durability to guarantee a successful outcome for this endeavor.
