Project Profile

Seattle Children’s CURE Level 7 8 9 TI

Location: Seattle, Washington

Our team was engaged to provide comprehensive commissioning (Cx) services for the Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI) Building CURE’s Level 7, 8, & 9 Tenant Improvement (TI) project. The newly constructed space was meticulously crafted to accommodate administrative support, office facilities, and open laboratory areas, serving as a catalyst for groundbreaking research endeavors.

The installation and operational procedures of the commissioned equipment adhered meticulously to the specifications outlined in the relevant contract documents, aligning seamlessly with the principles set forth in the Basis of Design and the Owner’s Project Requirements. Furthermore, the delivery of O&M (Operations and Maintenance) Documentation and Training was in full compliance with the stringent mandates of the Seattle Energy Code.

To verify the continued performance of the commissioned systems, a comprehensive 10-month warranty review meeting has been provisionally scheduled for March 2024.

The constructive engagement with SCRI Building CURE yielded several tangible benefits, including enhanced occupant comfort, reinforced assurance of the accurate operation of building equipment and controls, substantial energy savings compared to a similar project without effective commissioning, and the timely identification of operational issues during the warranty period, enabling prompt rectification by the contractor, design team, and the Building Engineering team.
